Symposium on the theme of "How Artificial Intelligence Technology Can Be Deeply Integrated with Practical Applications in Future Ports” was successfully concluded. Invited industry experts and participants from SIPG's Science and Information Department, SIPG Shangdong Branch, Hai Bo Digital Technology and Nize Technology had a lively discussion on AI technology and the future development of ports.
The conference introduced Shanghai Port Yangshan Phase IV Automated Terminal as a benchmark case of smart port construction, based on which experts shared their valuable experience and future outlook. Firstly, the intelligent development of the port and shipping industry will focus on the application of large models and the construction of human-machine cooperative safety system; secondly, artificial intelligence can promote the digital empowerment of the supply chain of the port and shipping to realize intelligent cooperation through digital twin, large models and data-driven optimization.
Although artificial intelligence technology shows a broad application prospect, experts pointed out that there are still many challenges to be solved in the current application of technology. In this regard, experts further proposed the need to integrate cross-field resources to promote the multimodal transportation system and the deep integration of distributed technology to build an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem. In the future, smart ports are expected to break through the application barriers of complex scenarios through technological integration and ecological co-construction, and then move towards a new stage of full-process intelligence.
Artificial Intelligence is influencing the operation mode of ports, and it is hoped that this technology sharing and in-depth discussion will provide cutting-edge ideas for the future intelligent development of ports.
