In the afternoon of May 9, the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions and the commendation conference of Shanghai model collectives, model worker and exemplary individual was held in the Expo Center. The conference commended a group of advanced models who have made outstanding contributions in their respective positions. Comrade Huang Heng, secretary of the general party branch and general manager of Nize Technology, won the honorary title of "model worker of Shanghai"!

This honor is not only a recognition of Huang Heng's long-term personal efforts, but also a full recognition of his outstanding contributions in the fields of smart port construction, industry technological innovation, and digital transformation.

Comrade Huang Heng is a senior expert in the field of port and shipping informationization, with over 20 years of industry experience. He is currently a professor level senior engineer and enjoys special government allowances from the State Council. He has been active in the forefront of national and local scientific and technological innovation for a long time, serving as an expert in the "Intelligent Shipping Technology Innovation and Comprehensive Test Base Expert Committee" of the Ministry of Transport, and a technical expert in multiple industry organizations such as the China Communications Society, the China Navigation Society, and the China Ports Association. He actively participates in the formulation and promotion of standards for smart transportation and smart ports.

Huang Heng has been deeply involved in the field of smart port and shipping for 27 years, leading and participating in multiple major scientific research projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has led the research and development of multiple key platforms for smart cities and smart ports, and has obtained 25 patents such as "AGV scheduling methods, devices, computer equipment, and storage media for docks" and "container data processing methods, mobile methods, systems, equipment, and media". He has published multiple papers in core industry journals. In 2021, Huang Heng was awarded the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Shanghai. In 2022, he was selected as the "16th Batch of Shanghai Leading Talents". In addition, he has also won multiple honorary awards such as the first prize of provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards from the China Port Association and the China Navigation Society.

In the face of the global wave of port and shipping automation, he led his team to overcome difficulties in three years, achieving independent and controllable key technologies for the world's largest automated terminal - Yangshan Phase IV, breaking through the bottleneck problem and providing strong support for the independent construction of ports in China. In 2023, this project was rewarded the special prize of the first "Gusu Cup".

As the general manager of Nize Technology, Huang Heng leads the company to continuously promote technological self-reliance and self-improvement, promote the comprehensive improvement of port operation efficiency, management capabilities, and service levels, and continue to support the high-quality development of the industry. Under his leadership, the Nize team has achieved technological breakthroughs in key areas such as remote control systems, intelligent loading and unloading, and port production management systems, effectively promoting a new stage of domestic port operation software towards intelligence, platformization, and internationalization.
